Is a long rent in any way similar to a lease?
No. With this system a client does not actually purchase a vehicle, but rather an “All Inclusive” service. Long Rent does not offer a loan and its services do not possess the same legal standing as a lease; those persons not eligible for a loan can still stipulate a contract.

What does the “All Inclusive” formula consist of?
A road tax, a Casco and RC insurance, Europ Assistance Service, full responsibility in the event of an accident, no increase in premium fee in case of an accident, vehicle upkeep and maintenance, summer and winter tires, a substitute vehicle in the case of breakdown, home delivery and withdrawal of vehicle.

Is the cost of the car hire exempt from taxes?
For partnerships and freelancers, the installment is fully deductible from taxes and car parks will not augment assets.

What happens if one wishes to terminate a contract after having already rented a vehicle?
One loses three months worth as key money.

At the end of a contract is it possible to redeem the vehicle?
Yes, upon request.

What are the advantages of using Long Rent?

What happens in the case of an accident?
The client is assisted by Europ Assisance all over the world. Long Rent provides a substitute vehicle and is responsible for all dealings with insurers and dealers for repairs, and returns the repaired vehicle without any need for the client’s involvement.

Can someone in my family, other than myself, drive a Long Rent vehicle hired under my name?
Yes.

Can someone under the age of 25 stipulate a contract with Long Rent?
No, being under 25 one can only drive the car, not rent it under his or her name.

Does insurance cover accidents occurred while another family member was driving?
Yes.

What is the penalty (or increase in monthly rate) for an accident caused by the contractor?
Nothing, but one must pay the sum of 500CHF in the event of each accident.

Who do I contact in the case of no partner garages in the vicinity? Would I have to pay for this additional assistance?
